During the installation of Nero Burning Rom I am asked for the validation of the serial number to install the software. Which serial number should I enter?

The serial number is displayed automatically. Please validate the automatically displayed serial number. 

Which file must I open to play the menu and full movie?

In order to play the DVD, you can to locate the VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

Other IFO files will work but in order to play the entire DVD you must select this file and click Open.

How can I watch a Blu-ray movie with my Verbatim Slimline Blu-ray Writer?

You can find player software for free on the internet, by using a search engine or buying a full version. VLC media player is a good example, and is available for Windows, iOS, Linux and Android:


I have no built in CD/DVD drive in my computer. How can I read the product CD of my Verbatim Slimline CD/DVD or Slimline Blu-ray writer on Mac or Windows?

Connect your Slimline CD/DVD or Slimline Blu-ray writer to your computer and read the product CD with your new Verbatim writer. It works by plug/play automatically.

Why can’t I select anything if I open or run StartPC and StartMAC application?

Both applications are using Flash Player, which is End-of-Life. You can also access the PC or MAC folders on your product CD directly, to install software for windows or to read the manuals. There is no software included for Macs.

What are the differences between your 3 Slimline Blu-ray writers?

The 43890 model has an USB3.0 port and a power supply unit.

The model 43889 and 43888 have USB 3.2 GEN 1 with USB-C port and no power supply.

The model 43890 and 43889 have the Pioneer BDR-UD03 drive built in and the 43888 has the Pioneer BDR-UD04 built in, which supports 4K and 3D Blu-ray movies.

All 3 models have Nero Burning Rom only for windows included.

There is no Blu-ray and DVD movie player software included.
