High-Performance Energy Suppliers

Alkaline batteries enhance Verbatim portfolio.

Eschborn, Germany, March 7th, 2007 – Verbatim has developed a series of high power alkaline batteries designed especially for use in modern electronic equipment with high energy demands. The high-performance and high-quality premium batteries are available from specialist retailers in the five most popular formats – AAA-LR03 Micro, AA-LR6 Mignon, C-LR14 Baby and D-LR20 Mono, each in a 1.5V design, and as a 9V-6LR61 block battery.

Whether it be for MP3 players, cameras, remote control devices, torches, smoke detectors or children’s toys, Verbatim has the right energy supplier for every piece of equipment. Verbatim’s batteries deliver consistently high performance over a long period – even at low temperatures and after lengthy storage. Environmental protection is important to Verbatim: its batteries are mercury and cadmium free and are well-protected against leakage and corrosion. All materials used comply with the guidelines set down by the European Union. Depending on the application it is used in, an alkaline battery can last approximately four to five times longer than a zinc-carbon battery.

“With the addition of the battery series to its portfolio, Verbatim provides the whole range of electronic accessories. From flash memory storage devices, such as USB and memory cards, CD and DVD media, photo printing paper through to batteries, our customers can now obtain everything they need from a single source," said Mats Nordin, Business Unit Manager Imaging & Accessory Products EUMEA.

Verbatim offers a range of stocked and empty point of sale solutions (POS) for specialist retailers. These include metal floor displays, and four counter-top display styles.
