Egham, 9th June 2009 Verbatim is launching the Executive Portable Hard Drive, an external 2.5" hard drive with a storage capacity of 500GB. Three software programs pre-loaded on the hard drive deliver increased data transfer speeds, synchronisation of data and folders, and backup functionality. The Verbatim Executive is available from retailers now and comes with a free carry pouch.
Turbo Speed Software
Equipped with USB turbo speed software, Verbatims new Executive achieves up to 25 per cent faster read and write speeds than conventional external hard drives with a USB connection. This is made possible thanks to optimised compression of the data during transfer.
Synchronisation Software
The Verbatim Sync software on the Executive helps organise all files: it reliably synchronises Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail contacts and calendar entries, as well as other files, photos and videos from the PC or laptop. Consequently, information can be accessed anywhere, allowing users to carry on working wherever in the world they may be. 128-bit AES encryption also enables data to be encrypted and secured with a password to protect it against unauthorised access.
Backup Software
The Verbatim Executive also comes with Nero BackItUp 4 Essentials for reliable backups. It does not require any external power pack, since its USB 2.0 interface provides all the power it needs.
The drive comes with a free black carry pouch which protects the exclusive black rubber coating of the drive during transportation.
