Verbatim: World's first supplier of single-sided 30 GB HD DVD Dual Layer

Eschborn / Egham (UK), August 2007 – Verbatim and its Japanese parent company Mitsubishi Kagaku Media (MKM) will be unveiling the world’s first single-sided dual-layer HD DVD-R. The twin-layer storage medium offers a capacity of 30 Gigabytes and can be written to at 1 x speed. The European official market launch will be held at the end of August at the IFA in Berlin.

Eschborn, January 2007 – Verbatim announced today that it is one of the first manufacturers to launch HD DVD recordable media to consumers. The Verbatim HD DVD-R has 15GB of single layer capacity and is available from now for £11.00 per unit (RRP incl. VAT).
