Eschborn, November 2007 – Verbatim expands its range of CompactFlash Memory Cards by introducing the “PRO Series”. The new high performance cards are designed for professional users and are available with 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. The new Verbatim CompactFlash Memory Cards are now available for €59 for a 2GB, €119 for a 4GB and €179 for a 8GB (RRP).

In addition to these, Verbatim presents the 8GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) Memory Card Class 6. The 8GB SDHC Memory Card costs €79 (RRP). At the same time, Verbatim announces the release of the 16GB SDHC Class 6 and the 4GB microSDHC Memory Card in January 2008 and the 32GB SHDC Card and 8GB microSDHC Memory Card in March 2008.

Flash Memory Cards and USB Sticks Are the Market Drivers of 2007

Eschborn, April 2007 – Verbatim, the European market leader for optical storage media, has successfully expanded its leading position on the market for CD-R and DVD-R media over the last year. According to analyses by the Santa Clara Consulting Group, one in three DVD media sold in Europe in 2006 came from Verbatim. For CD-Rs, it was one in four. “This result shows that Verbatim, with its high demands on product quality, is pursuing the correct strategy”, says Torsten Leye, Marketing Manager Optical Verbatim EUMEA. In 2007, Verbatim is also pushing for strong growth in the non-optical sector, with particular focus on the market for flash technologies.

October 2006 - Verbatim, the Storage Media experts have, in recent years, experienced world-wide success with attaining the market leadership position for the recordable CD-R and DVD R product categories, and now have the intention to bring this success to the Middle Eastern countries for their Storage Media and Accessory product line-up - by further significant investment in the region.

Verbatim has added to its family of Hi-Speed Store 'n' Go USB 2.0 HD drives to include 12GB capacity. Weighing just 28 grams this new addition is ultra light with the capacity to carry large volumes of content from one system or location to another.

The complete package includes a protective pouch, USB extension cable and a user quick start guide for a suggested retail price of £100 and is available now.

Further to the release earlier this year announcing Verbatim/MKM’s plans to support the development of Blu-ray disc, the company can now announce their development of new Organic based dye which can ultimately reduce production costs of BD-R, thus making it an affordable, high capacity media choice.

Recording media specialist, Verbatim, has expanded its popular range of printable DVDs and introduced its first gloss-finish DVD-Rs.

Verbatim will be expanding its mini DVD media range with the launch of 8cm DVD+RW discs. The discs can store up to 1.46GB or 30 minutes of data and are fully compliant with +RW format.

Verbatim is making its debut in the PC headset with microphone market with the introduction of a three-strong range of multimedia headsets.

MKM/Verbatim’s double layer 8x-speed DVD+R 8.5GB discs are the first in the world to be verified by the Philips Verification Laboratory.

Verbatim continues its expansion into new market sectors with the introduction of Dual Voltage Reduced Size MultiMediaCards for mobile phones and compact digital devices. A 4GB-capacity card has also been added to the CompactFlash range.

A revolutionary organic dye developed by recording media specialist, MKM/Verbatim - together with Hayashibara Biochemical Laboratories and Toshiba - has made it possible to mass produce HD DVD-R discs on standard DVD-R production lines. The dye was specially developed for blue-laser applications and is a major breakthrough for the new format.

Called a USB smart drive, these devices enable consumers to carry all of their personal computer settings, applications and data for use on any PC. Verbatim Store ‘n’ Go smart drives will allow people to carry their “personal workspace” wherever they go. The new U3-powered Verbatim smart drives will be available this year throughout Europe as well as the United States.
