Verbatim showcases portability-enhancing smartphone and tablet accessories at CeBIT

25/02/2014

London, England – 25th February 2014: Verbatim, a pioneer of data storage technology, is showcasing a wide variety of high-performance products and must-have accessories that provide better portability, functionality and ease-of-use at CeBIT held between 10-14 March 2014 in Hannover, Germany.

Located at stand K18 in Hall 14, Verbatim is demonstrating innovations that make it easier for consumers to use portable technology devices on-the-go, including MediaShare Wireless – a lightweight device that connects to up to five Wi-Fi enabled tablets and smartphones allowing users to view, play, stream and back up photos, video clips and music simultaneously, anywhere.

Offering smartphone and tablet users more ways to stay powered up while on the move, Verbatim unveils its portable power pack range further with new models including a compact Ultra-Slim 4200mAh power pack. Following a sleek redesign last year, the simple-to-use and reliable power pack range includes AA Power, Portable Power, Dual USB and Ultra-Slim packs each supplying a variety of power capacities.

Verbatim’s attractive collection of Folio cases designed to help protect tablets, e-readers and smartphones from everyday wear and tear will also make an appearance at CeBIT. Popular cases in the range include the Folio Flex for the iPad and Folio Mini Case with Bluetooth Keyboard among many others. Folio Flex range

For consumers looking to make file transfers between devices faster and easier without using a computer, Verbatim will show its recently launched Micro SD Cards and the Nano USB Drive with Micro USB Adapter Nano OTG.

Verbatim’s Vx450 External SSD is a high performance solid-state external data storage solution, ideal for back up and storing large data files such as HD video. Sleek, compact and lightweight, the device is 65% smaller and 70% lighter than a typical external hard drive. It is supplied with a USB 3.0 cable, carry pouch and Nero Back It Up software. With high speed data transfer of up to 450MB/sec, it is 4x times faster than a USB 3.0 external HDD (50 seconds) and 30x faster than a USB 2.0 Flash Drive (360 seconds).

Besides displaying removable data storage devices and LED retrofit lamps manufactured by parent company Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), Verbatim will also reveal its foray into 3D printing filament materials, a market with explosive potential that’s estimated to reach a value of $669 million by 2014, according to Gartner. MCC has developed DURABIO™, a clear durable bio-based plastic resin suitable for 3D printing as well as other applications. The material has excellent optical properties and high impact strength as well as UV, flame and scratch resistance. With the flexibility, fast hardening, warp-free and eco-friendly advantages of PLA plastics, DURABIO also benefits from the toughness that is commonly associated with ABS plastics popularly used in 3D printers.

Verbatim executives will be available for media interviews at CeBIT 2014. To fix an appointment, please contact Jonathan Colbourne in advance via jcolbourne@Verbatim-europe.com.
